Sadly, there are only 5 of these shows that I don't watch and I have a slew more that I do: The Good Wife, Lost, Warehouse 13, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, White Collar, and Project Runway. That's just off the top of my head. It's a wonder I get anything done at all.
I think you are my TV twin, lol! Also, I download Being Erica. (Shhh, don't tell!) I know it airs in the US, but it's so much later and I don't even think I get that channel...
I do actually watch House, but it's a pretty low priority and reruns are on 12 times a day, so I don't bother with the new episodes. I considered including it on the poll, but since I'm always at least a year behind, it's not a show I'm likely to talk about with folks.
I only checked the ones I'm currently watching now, but I pretty much have watched most of these shows or have been meaning to catch up once the current season is finished and I can marathon through it. TV on DVD has really spoiled me.
LOL, I was wondering why you checked so few things. I thought you were my TV twin! But there's some stuff on there - like Mad Men - that's not even airing currently, so it doesn't have to be just what you're watching right now.
I don't watch much TV on DVD - I'll use it to catch up on a new show if I hear it's good, but once I'm caught up, I usually like to watch in real time. (Or relatively, anyway... I do end up watching a lot of stuff online a few days after it airs.)
I don't watch a lot of shows, so, of your list, I only watch Caprica. But of the shows not on your list, I watch The Good Wife, Lost, and Castle, all of which I greatly enjoy.
I ummed and ahhed about whether to click Caprica because I have seen the first two eps, but I am not all that impressed and if it wasn't for the fact that JM will be in it I probably wouldn't bother with any more... but I guess I will keep watching for now, at least until JM has been and gone.
I am still waiting for Caprica to really grab me. I loved BSG, so I'd be willing to give it a fair shot even without JM, but so far my interest is more in the potential it has than what I'm actually seeing on screen.
It was... probably one of the reasons I hated the remake...they changed so much (also, the people were really annoying!)
A bit like if someone in years to come did a Buffy remake and Spike and Giles were women, none of the other characters had the same personalities (and their names were now just their nicknames and they actually had different names), vampires were some new species that existed only because of a recent science experiment etc, etc. In other words... it was like a bad fan fic that completely ignored 90% of canon and had crap characterisations. lol
Yeah, it's probably easier to think of it as a completely different show that happens to have the same name as the original. But from what I've heard of the original, I'd probably see the things they changed as an improvement anyway.
I stuck to shows I watch regularly, rather than adding in those I'll tune into once in a while if I'm bored or they look interesting that night. So my selection was very small.
Also Dexter, Being Human, House, NCIS, and Big Bang Theory. (I see a fair amount of Bones because Kathy likes it, but I usually tune out while it's on.)
