Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii guys!!!!! I have been in Chicago, so there's LOADS to catch up on. Which means you probably already saw these links two weeks ago when they were new, but in case you haven't, here they are:
* A handy-dandy list of all the fall network TV premiere dates.
* If anyone is still watching (or hate-watching) The Newsroom, Kat Dennings and a wedding will be in the final season.
* Gillian Anderson, one of the few people NOT left lying in a pool of their own blood at the end of last season, has been upgraded to a series regular on Hannibal.
*
theamericans has some interesting casting notices for new Season 3 characters.
* I swear, I never noticed the vag in the Masters of Sex logo before, but now it's like the FedEx arrow... cannot unsee. Also, an interview with show creator Michelle Ashford.
* And here's another Homeland trailer. It does kind of feel like a completely different show, just with a couple of the same people, doesn't it? (And I mean that in a good way.)
* Also a new Vampire Diaries trailer.
* The creator of You're the Worst talks about the season finale.
* I haven't watched Bones in ages, but David Boreanaz is pretty hilarious hijacking this interview with Emily Deschanel.
* CBS has committed to Supergirl, making it the the fourth new TV series based on a DC comic this year.
* The writer and director of "Ozymandias" look back on one of the greatest episodes of Breaking Bad one year later.
* A deleted scene on the HIMYM complete series DVD explains where the infamous pineapple came from. Like much of HIMYM's end, it is kind of disappointing.
* The first episode of Play It Again, Dick - the Veronica Mars spin-off webseries - is now up on CW Seed.
* Here is the first official plot summary for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Nothing new if you've been following along with spoilery reports, though.
* Whoa, we're getting a real human person Jarvis in Agent Carter! Plus, a first look at Hayley Atwell as Peggy in Agents of SHIELD (and presumably Agent Carter) and the season 2 Agents of SHIELD promo.
* The Russos shot down the MCU Civil War rumors. And I can't remember if I linked this one before I left, so here is them talking about Captain America 3.
* Chris Evans' directorial debut, Before We Go, premiered at TIFF, and since he is my future husband, I am linking to probably far more interviews than any sane person would ever want to read/listen to, lol. Here he is being adorably goofy during the Q&A at the premiere. There are also two MTV videos - the one where he talks about Captain America 3 (sort of? as much as they ever do) and the one where he grabs his crotch. (He's asked to name the top three worst directors he's worked with, and his first instinct is to protect his manly bits. Bless.) He answered reader questions for the NY Times, he sweats a lot, he was inspired by Richard Linklater's Before films, and he used iMovie to make a rough cut on his laptop (awww what a dork).
* And if that wasn't enough Chris for you, we also got a trailer for Playing It Cool (formerly A Many Splintered Thing). Ah, the derpface is strong with this one:

* Tom Hiddleston will star in the King Kong origin story film Skull Island. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Olsen has joined the cast of Tom's Hank Williams biopic, I Saw the Light. (Not to be confused with the movie Chris Hemsworth is making about a man haunted by Hank Williams' ghost.)
* Mark Ruffalo wants to be in Star Wars VIII. Plus, an interview with him, Steve Carell, and Channing Tatum about Foxcatcher.
* A new Matt Damon original-recipe Bourne movie might actually be happening. But the Jeremy Renner not!Bourne sequel is also still happening?
* OMG first official Mockingjay trailer! As well as a trailer for Jennifer Lawrence's other movie, Serena.
* Dan Stevens talks about leaving Downton Abbey and his new movie.
* Here's a clip of Anna Kendrick singing "I Can Do Better Than That" in The Last Five Years. Plus, an interview with Anna about the film.
* New images from the Into the Woods movie.
* Michael C. Hall as Hedwig? I'm almost more excited to see that than NPH as Hedwig.
* Neil Patrick Harris has a trailer for his book, Choose Your Own Autobiography.
* Cary Elwes wrote a book about the making of The Princess Bride.
* RDJ doing his RDJ thing for Vanity Fair. I love how passionately he talks about cheeseburgers.
* This is an interesting look at how to tell good acting from bad acting.

Date: Sep. 22nd, 2014 07:02 pm (UTC)My understanding is that it is basically the same, except it ends before the reveal that the Mother is dead and Ted goes after Robin. So you could probably get the same effect by watching the episode and just turning it off 5 minutes before the end?
