* ABC is developing a fairy-tale musical comedy TV series, because why the fuck not? lol
* Lin-Manuel Miranda will guest star on How I Met Your Mother. If there isn't a musical number involving NPH, I will be very disappointed.
* Joanna Gleason (aka the original Baker's Wife) says that Emily Blunt will be "brilliant" in Into the Woods. I mean, look, it's not like she's going to be all, "Whaaaat? That's TERRIBLE casting!" And frankly, Emily Blunt is not who I'm most worried about. But this: "All of us are very possessive of that material, but I’ve seen so many productions of it since I was in it, and they’ve all been terrific." NOT TRUE, JO. I have also seen many productions of it, and while some were fantastic (I've even seen a Witch who could give Bernadette Peters a run for her money), at least one of them was eye-sporkingly terrible, so I am not ruling it out.
* New Catching Fire promotional stuff.
* So it turns out that, in the American remake of Broadchurch, the David Tennant role will be played by... David Tennant. But with an American accent, so OBVIOUSLY it'll be way different.
* Okay, sort of a Breaking Bad link: Damon Lindelof uses it as an opportunity to reflect on the Lost finale. (And if this seems self-centered of him, keep in mind that a crazy bunch of people used the Breaking Bad finale as an opportunity to remind Damon Lindelof how much they hate him and the Lost finale.)

Date: Oct. 3rd, 2013 02:00 pm (UTC)I don't know how closely they'll stick to the plot (obviously they'd have to change some things, otherwise we'll all know who did it and how it ends!), but yeah, it seems like Tennant would be playing the exact same character, which is rather pointless.

L M F A O WHAT. DAVID. WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE.
I did it for me. I liked it. I was good at it. And I was really … I was alive.
