I am mildly disappointed that the acid named on BB wasn't what actually ended up dissolving the pig, and that nothing dissolved the bathtub.

I am, too! Although now I know, when disposing of dead bodies: 1. use sulfuric acid, not hydrofluoric, and 2. it's totally okay to do it in the bathtub! \o/

You'd think they would have tested this themselves, by you know, hiring a chemist to consult and saying "find out what would dissolve a body for us". It would have been a few days work tops. Because as the Mythbusters episode showed, there were really only two myths to test; it's not as if the show is just running around being incorrect every other episode. We know ricin is a real thing, etc.

Well, it's probably for the best. You really don't want people figuring out how to do this kind of shit from a TV show.

The show does play kind of fast and loose with the science, though. Apparently, the meth shouldn't even be blue!

They could have just been vague and said "acid" on the show, which would still be technically correct, since SOME acid will do it. Though I think even on Mythbusters they added something to the sulfuric acid that they didn't name (so people couldn't do it).
