You'd think they would have tested this themselves, by you know, hiring a chemist to consult and saying "find out what would dissolve a body for us". It would have been a few days work tops. Because as the Mythbusters episode showed, there were really only two myths to test; it's not as if the show is just running around being incorrect every other episode.
