This is just a drive-by comment because I'm in and out, but I just have to say, I have such huge problems with this into the Woods movie and I am quite distressed and THIS IS SOMETHING WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT. Both those boys are terribly attractive, but I kind of doubt either of them can really sing, and you sort of really need to be able to fucking sing for this musical? UGHHHHHH WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS TO ME.

I FEEL YOUR PAIN, LIZ. I JUST - WHY WHY WHY.

It actually really bums me out, because it feels like they're not taking the show seriously at all? Just because it's based on fairy tales and not a sweeping historical epic doesn't mean it doesn't require serious talent. I mean, with Les Miserables at least you could tell they were trying. Okay, yeah, Russell Crowe lolwhut, but the rest of them were legit talented, if maybe not totally right for the roles.

Whereas, this is a cast I would assemble if I were punking someone.

...Am I being punked? Internet? Tell me this is all a massive, elaborately-executed prank and all is forgiven!

Barney/Robin continues to be the worst. It's just a disaster beyond any I could've imagined. And they keep making it worse by refusing to let Ted/Robin go. Even though I know it's impossible, I am legit rooting for Ted to bust up this wedding, because good lord Barney/Robin is terrible.
