Ugh, I filled this whole thing out (and it's a doozy, let me tell you) a few days ago, but then I had to close the browser and I lost the whole thing. :( I think I've managed to reconstruct my answers.

Shows you let go of in 2012
666 Park Avenue, Alcatraz, Copper, The Fades, The Newsroom, and Vegas were all new shows that I tried but didn't stick with. I also, after falling in love with Freaks & Geeks, attempted to get into Undeclared, but it just wasn't happening. I don't easily give up on shows once I've gotten into them, though. I keep threatening to drop HIMYM and The Office, and yet I am still watching them. The only ones I've actually stopped watching this year are Fringe, which I gave up on after the jump to the future, and Psych, which I haven't watched in forever (is it even still airing? I just haven't cared enough to find out).

Think I'd have to go with Breaking Bad and Parks & Rec, which have both been consistently excellent, although in very different ways.

It's hard for me to let go of shows too, but I finally gave up the ghost on HIMYM after last season. I'd have jumped ship with The Office, too (I wanted to after Steve Carell left) but my partner insists on watching it still, and I end up watching it with him. I've liked this season better than last so far (though I haven't seen the last few episodes) but I still sort of wish that "Goodbye Michael" was my own personal finale.

Heh, for me, it also depends on what else is on TV. I'd have given up on The Office - in fact, after last season, I had decided I was done - but there's nothing else on at 9pm, and I'm watching shows at 8 and 9:30, so it's like, why bother turning the TV off in between?

Which I think is what they are counting on... lol.

Yeah, I bet they are! I watch all my TV on the internet, but if I didn't I bet I'd do the same as you, especially cause this season does seem slightly better than last, anyway.

My partner recently informed me that he doesn't care about watching The Office anymore either. So I've declared myself officially done with it too. :)

I also loved Freaks and Geeks (way back in the day) and was just not impressed with Undeclared at all. Maybe if I had watched more of it, I would have grown to appreciate it, but the half hour comedy format gave it a totally different feel, and I wasn't anywhere near as taken with the cast.

Yeah, same. I think a lot of what I liked about F&G is actually Paul Feig, and Undeclared is a little too Apatow-ish, lol.
