Something next to normal, that's the thing I'd like to try

It's hard for me to let go of shows too, but I finally gave up the ghost on HIMYM after last season. I'd have jumped ship with The Office, too (I wanted to after Steve Carell left) but my partner insists on watching it still, and I end up watching it with him. I've liked this season better than last so far (though I haven't seen the last few episodes) but I still sort of wish that "Goodbye Michael" was my own personal finale.
