AAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH (aka who wants to hear about my condo woes?)

So, last Monday, I was sitting on my sofa, watching TV, when all of a sudden this glug-glug noise starts coming from the kitchen. I discovered that my sink was backing up and the sink had started to fill up with soapy water when I wasn't using it. Clearly, this would indicate that there's a clog somewhere in the main drain for my section of the building, since I WASN'T USING THE SINK when it happened.

The next morning, I report it to the concierge, who fills out a work order to get it checked out. It apparently wasn't a priority, since it took a day or so, but I came home after work Wednesday evening to find a notice that Charlie, the maintenance guy, was there and unclogged the sink. Great. Except that on Thursday evening, once again I am lounging on the sofa when I hear the glug-glug noise. AGAIN. Check the kitchen - yep, sink is full of water. AGAIN.

I go down to the front desk to talk to the night-time concierge, who reprints the work order and writes "STILL HAVING PROBLEMS" on it and puts it in Charlie's mail slot. Friday, I come home after work to find a second notice claiming that the sink had been fixed. Fabulous, except that later that evening, the sink backs up AGAIN. And of course, it's Friday night, and maintenance doesn't work on the weekends, so I am stuck with a sink full of water (which, at this point, is getting pretty gross) and no way to run the dishwasher or wash my dishes by hand.

The weekend was kind of perilous, since more people were home to use the water, and it was all backing up into MY KITCHEN. Fortunately, it didn't overflow, but after a week of not being able to do dishes, by Monday, the dishwasher was jam-packed, and the rest of my dirty dishes were stacked on the stove. But I had once again reported the problem and was SURE that the third time would be the charm.

I even called in the afternoon to check on the progress, knowing I wouldn't be home before Charlie went off-duty. The concierge assured me that the problem had been fixed. My next-door neighbor had apparently reported a similar issue that morning, and Charlie had checked both sinks and cleared out the blockage.

GUESS WHAT I FOUND WHEN I GOT HOME? Yep. Sink full of water. No notice that Charlie had even been there. I called the front desk FOR THE FOURTH TIME to say I am still having the same problem.

I just got home tonight. Yep. Not only is the sink NOT FIXED, there is a notice from Charlie saying he was there and DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE I NEED TO MOVE THE STUFF THAT'S UNDER THE SINK. Like you couldn't have mentioned that the FIRST THREE TIMES I REPORTED THE PROBLEM?

And then, the cherry on this ice cream sundae of suck - THERE IS A BILL UNDER MY DOOR FOR THE FIRST WORK ORDER. WHICH DIDN'T FIX ANYTHING. AND IS STILL BROKEN.

AND I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR IT ANYWAY SINCE THE CLOG'S IN THE MAIN DRAIN AND THEREFORE NOT ACTUALLY IN MY UNIT. I.E. NOT MY FUCKING PROBLEM. WHY ARE YOU SENDING ME A FUCKING BILL?

FUCK YOU, I AM NOT PAYING ANYTHING.

that sounds awful! Don't let them bully you into paying for their problems.

Your GIFs are amazing.
