Whew. Had a very busy day today, so this week's Musical Sunday post is just a question:

What is the deal with New Yorkers in musicals wanting to move to Santa Fe? Is this some sort of musical theater conceit I don't know about? Do actual New Yorkers dream of moving to New Mexico? I've never been there - is Santa Fe really that great?

Heh, it was the Newsies song that made the lightbulb go off, actually. It came up on my iPod, and I was like, "Wait... ANOTHER show has a Santa Fe song!"
