I like this idea. When I posted my TV poll the other day, I noticed there were a lot of people who voted whose names I didn't recognize, so here's your chance to say hi. :)

I hope you find another fandom/interest/real-life thing to take its place.

I don't know you at all so I hope this isn't inappropriate, but I've left online communities that were really important to me and I know it's bittersweet. It's good to know when it's your time, but sad to lose a point of contact with people who've been significant for a season in your life.

Well, BtVS is my third fandom, so I'm used to it in a way. The difference, I guess, is that I've been a lot more involved here than in previous fandoms, so it feels like a much bigger space to fill than before.

I'm not going to disappear completely, since I still enjoy interacting with my friends in this fandom. It's more the personal question of what to do with my journal now, since I don't want to just stop posting. We'll see what happens.

What were your first two fandoms? I thought w/ eowyn as your name it'd be LotR or something...

Nope, LoTR was never a fandom. I just read the books in middle school and loved them, so I picked it for my AIM screenname (before the movies made that the cool thing to do). When I started to develop a presence on the interwebz, I couldn't be bothered to come up with a new name, so I stuck with Eowyn.

I guess technically I've had four fandoms, since I wrote West Wing fic, even though I never showed it to anyone. Before that, it was Sliders - I was on a bboard and read and wrote fanfic - and then 24, which I never wrote fanfic for, but spend much time on the forums.

Do you have DebW friended? she thinks west wing is the greatest show EVAOMg. I think it's a snoozefest but she won't be told :D

I did used to like Sliders though. 24 is too right wing! It scares me!

LOL, DebW is very wise. I'd have a hard time choosing between West Wing and Buffy.

24 is... well, it used to be very awesome, and it started right after 9/11, so there was more appreciation for scary right-wing antiterrorism back then. Now it's just gotten so ridiculous, it's impossible to take it seriously, so it's not nearly as scary. (Jack Bauer is still very awesome, though.)
