Another year-end meme

I can't remember who I got this one from, but I know I've done it in previous years, so I might as well keep up the tradition.
Go to your calendar and find the first entry for each month in 2009. Post the first line/sentence of it in your journal, and that's your "Year in Review." (Commentary is in bold)
January: Happy new year, everyone! (Ironically, this post was the very same meme I'm doing now.)
February: Gakked from
dawnofme. (The "Senior Year" meme.)
March: This is something I never noticed from "As You Were," which I only just picked up on while rereading the transcript. (Apparently I'm slow, because it was pointed out in the comments that my observation had been around in fandom since the show aired. What can I say, I wasn't in fandom back then, so I missed the outrage.)
April: The reader version, gakked from everybody at this point. (A fanfic meme that had a writer version and a reader version.)
May: Well, if my last post is any indication, I should be busy writing a "Vi the Vampire Slayer" fic, lol. (This was right after I did my "Potential spin-off" poll, but the rest of the post was about (reluctantly) opening a Dreamwidth account - which I have since never used.)
June: Heh, accurate and predictable. (The "What Pet Are You Like?" meme.)
July: Was sifting through old emails at work and found this little snippet that I wrote and emailed to myself, apparently intending to use it in a fic. (Typical of my writing this year, where hardly any of it came from my brain, but rather from older stuff I'd saved that could be posted with little fixing-up necessary.)
August: "Victory is mine! Victory is mine! Great day in the morning, people, victory is mine." (A quote from "The West Wing," in case you were wondering. My victory was short-lived, however, as this was in the midst of my quest to get Chelsea to take her pills.)
September: Okay, I'll be honest. (A filtered post, so not everyone got to see my honesty, lol. But really it was just a brainstorming post for fic ideas - none of which ever got written.)
October: I'd just like to take this opportunity, on our two-month anniversary, to recognize the bacteria living in my intestines. (Awww. My ode to bacteria! How quaint it seems now, when I thought bacteria was the whole of my problems.)
November: I'm procrastinating, is what this is. (My fic statistics post.)
December: So, I was chugging along at a good clip there, posting everyday for almost a week... and then went two whole weeks without posting anything. (A personal post, apparently after not posting for quite a while.)
And that was my year.
