Saw a girl walk straight into a pole this morning because she was too busy playing with her iPhone.

Ron Moore was right - technology is totally going to kill us all. Just not the way he expected.

*Gratuitous use of Cameron icon, just because you gave me the excuse*

I've done that thing too, although in my case it was a tree

I love the icon. IMO Summer Blau was the best part of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

*g*

Though...I used to read while walking and would often run into things. I stopped that habit.

But I can still laugh at someone else's clumsiness. *nods*

We can only be thankful that the girl in question was not driving while playing with her iPhone. The newspapers have been full of articles on people texting while driving. How stupid can you get? Answer: there is no end to stupidity.

Had I heard that story when I was a little girl, I would've furrowed my brow, pouted sympathetically and felt that girl's embarrassment as if it had happened to me.

Now, I gigglesnort and roll my eyes at her obliviousness.

I was a better person then...

This is not quite so funny when they do it while driving. :-P

I was once on the phone to talking to a friend when I abruptly heard very, uh, colourful bathroom noises.

I hung up and refused to answer until I was sure he was done.

The funniest thing I saw like that was in middle school, when the assistant principal walked into a pole that was 2 feet in diameter. He wasn't even doing anything that would distract him. He had been standing in front of the school watching the buses leave, and just turned around and walked straight into it. :)

I've run into a store's glass door twice. I have no excuse but that I was excited to go in and the glass is too clean and invisible.
