I feel like I've already done one like this before, but there were some questions I didn't recognize, so what the hell? Let's do it again! The Firsts Meme, snagged from
dawnofme.
1. Who was your FIRST prom date?
His name was Greg; he was a senior and I was a sophomore. We were just friends, but I thought I was supercool to get invited to the prom as a lowly sophomore, plus I had a lot of friends who were seniors, so it was fun to get to hang out with them at their senior prom.
2. Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
Haven't been in love.
3. What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?
I don't remember. I started drinking at a young age. :) Seriously, when I was a kid, my parents used to let me taste their drinks (most of which tasted gross), which I think was actually a good parenting strategy, since it took all the mystery out of alcohol and I didn't bother to experiment behind their backs as a teenager. I remember my dad trying to convince me that his glass of gin was actually water, just to watch me gag when I tasted it. (Really, Dad? Water that smells like paint thinner? How dumb do you think I am?)
4. What was your FIRST job?
I was a bagger/cart pusher at Acme (the supermarket, not the Looney Toons explosives).
5. What was your FIRST car?
1985 Subaru station wagon. Black with red interior.
6. Who was the FIRST person to text you today?
No one's texted me today. I don't really text a lot.
7. Who is the FIRST person you talked to this morning?
I said good morning to someone at the bus stop.
8. Who was your FIRST grade teacher?
Ms. Sharpe. I recall she was kind of mean.
9. Where did you go on your FIRST air plane ride?
Disney World. I was four years old, and I'm told I had diarrhea on the ride home, and the flight attendant had to take me to the bathroom because they wouldn't let me out of my seat while we were landing, but I really, really had to go. (TMI? I was FOUR.)
10. Who was your FIRST best friend & do you still talk?
Her name was Tess, and she lived in the house behind mine. We were best friends in kindergarten, but then she moved away. We kept in touch sporadically until high school, but I haven't seen her since then.
11. Where was your FIRST sleep over?
Probably at Tess' house. The first ones I remember, though, are at Adrienne's house, who also lived in the neighborhood. That was in elementary school, but they were usually joint sleepovers with her older sister and friends, who were in middle school and thus the epitome of cool. (They thought somewhat less highly of us.)
13. Whose wedding were you in the FIRST time?
Haven't been in a wedding.
14. What was the FIRST thing you did this morning?
Rolled over and squashed the cat. (Sorry, Chelsea.)
15. What was the FIRST concert you ever went to?
James Taylor. I think I was maybe seven or eight, and my parents took me. We had lawn seats.
16. FIRST tattoo?
Never had one.
17. FIRST piercing?
My ears. I forget how old I was, but it was probably much older than would have justified how much I cried. Got 'em done at the Piercing Pagoda in the mall, so the crying thing was kind of embarrassing.
18. FIRST foreign country you went to?
England, I think. Summer of 2000, my mom and I did a bus tour of England and France.
19. FIRST movie you remember seeing?
Oh, geez, I have no idea. I mean, I remember watching all the classic Disney movies, but I haven't the slightest idea which one was first.
20. When was your FIRST detention?
Never had detention.
22. Who was your FIRST roommate?
Alicia. She was lazy and fat and smoked a lot of pot and hid trashy romance novels in the bottom drawer of her dresser and claimed they belonged to someone else.
23. If you had one wish. What would it be?
More wishes! lol
24. What is something you would learn if you had the chance?
Languages. (All of them.)
25. Did you marry the FIRST person to ask for your hand in marriage?
Not married, and thus far, no one has asked, although one boyfriend made very terrifying hints in that direction.
26. What was the first sport that you were involved in?
Basketball. I played probably from 2nd grade until 5th grade, and my teams got progressively worse until the last year, when we didn't win a single game.
27. What were the first lessons you ever took?
Dance classes. I took ballet and tap from age 4 to age 6.
28. What is the first thing you do when you get home?
Greet the kitty waiting for me at the door.
