Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] slaymesoftly. I'm not sure why this is called the "how old are you?" meme... other than the one question that asks how old you are, it's just random questions. Are your answers supposed to reflect your age or something?

The Survey -

1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
Cable. Mostly because Comcast online bill pay has a tendency to NOT charge my credit card when I tell it to. (Which would be great, if they'd give me free cable instead of holding me responsible for the payment.)

2. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?
I haven't the slightest idea. It's been about seven years since there was someone with which to have a romantic dinner.

3. Do you regret losing your virginity to who you lost it to?
Yes.

4. If you could go back and change one thing what would it be?
Just one? Sheesh. I guess I'd change the stuff that came between me and my best friend in high school. Or maybe the virginity thing?

5. Name of your 4th grade teacher?
Ms. Hales

6. What do you really want to be doing right now?
Sleeping. One week off and my whole schedule is out of whack. I'm not quite used to this whole "get up early and go to work" thing.

7. What did you want to be when you were growing up?
Oh boy. Ballerina, actress, marine biologist, doctor, lawyer, research chemist, leader of the free world, roughly in that order. :)

8. How many colleges did you attend?
Just one.

9. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?
Uh, because it's sparkly? I dunno, it's Friday so I can dress down, but I have meetings on the Hill so I still wanted to look nice. It's my first week, I'm still working out the dress code. (My boss is a man, and thus is no help.)

10. What are your thoughts on gas prices?
I sure am glad I take the bus/train. You know, it just occurred to me that I've never had a driving commute in my entire adult life. I took the train, then I walked, now I am back to public transportation.

11. If you could move anywhere and take someone with you, where would it be and who would you take?
Dude, you could not pay me enough to pack up my shit and move again. I am staying right where I am, thank you. I would like to move all my friends down here, though. That'd be nice, and easier than making new ones.

12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
That was weird (re: my dream).

13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
I don't really remember, but probably something along the lines of, "Shoulda gone to bed earlier."

14. Last book you read for real?
I just did a whole post on books I read. Now I'm reading "The Moon is Down" by John Steinbeck.

15. Have you ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its actual purpose?
Er, no. (Have most people used fire extinguishers for other purposes?)

16. What errand/chore do you despise?
Dusting. And laundry. And doing dishes (yay for the dishwasher in my new apartment!).

17. If you did not have to work, would you volunteer?
Probably. I might enjoy the life of leisure for a month or so, but then I think I'd get bored.

18. Get up early or sleep in?
Sleep in.

19. What is your favorite cartoon character?
I don't know that I really have a favorite. I haven't watched cartoons in forever, and I'm totally blanking on the ones I used to like as a kid.

20. Favorite thing to do at night with the opposite sex?
Um... nothing?

21. Have you found real love yet?
No.

22. When did you first start feeling old?
About as soon as I graduated from college.

23. Favorite 80s movie?
I, uh... don't really remember the 80s. The Princess Bride came out in the 80s, right? Let's go with that.

24. Your favorite lunch meat?
Bologna. Please don't tell me what's in it.

25. What do you get every time you go into Costco?
I don't shop at Costco.

26. Beach or lake?
Beach

27. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
No

28. Do you own property?
No

29. Have you ever crashed a car or truck?
I think "crashed" would be an exaggeration. A telephone pole once did some damage to my bumper, but I was going about 5 mph at the time, so it was hardly a crash.

30. Favorite movie you would not want anyone to find out about?
Uh... I don't think I have one.

31. What is your drink?
Water, mostly.

32. Cowboys or Indians?
Indians

33. Cops or Robbers?
Cops

34. Who from high school would you like to run in to?
Is it weird that I was just thinking about going to a high school reunion? I don't know what made me think of it - the 10 year one is still 3 years away. I skipped 5 years, though, because the only person I still want to talk to - Megan - is still my friend, so I don't need to go to a reunion to see her.

35. What radio station is your car radio tuned to right now?
I haven't actually found any radio stations here yet. I've been listening to CDs (I think Hootie & the Blowfish is in there now).

36. Indoors or Outdoors?
Depends on the weather, but usually indoors.

37. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?
Ha, well, I would go along with the crowd and say James Marsters, but since I've yet to be convinced to even meet the man in person (despite numerous con appearances), I'd say probably Barack Obama.

38. Worst relationship mistake that you wish you could take back?
I wish I'd never gotten back together with my high school boyfriend after we broke up the first time. The first break-up he handled like a normal human being. The second one was when it got ugly.

39. Favorite type of chocolate?
Dark, but I'll take it in any form, really.

40. Do you have a teddy bear?
Probably? I still have a lot of my stuffed animals - or, rather, my parents have them in a box in the attic. There might have been bears, although that wasn't really my animal of choice as a child.

41. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?
Probably an airport bathroom.

42. Somewhere in California you have never been and would like to go?
*sigh* Well, I had a whole trip planned to San Francisco/Napa Valley for the end of July, but now I'm not going. Still want to, though.

43. Do you go to church?
No

44. At this point in your life would you rather start a new career or a new relationship?
New relationship, definitely. Mostly because I've already got a career.

45. Just how OLD are you?
25

Have most people used fire extinguishers for other purposes?

I've used one on several occasions to prop a door open so I could carry heavy boxes through.

They also make good improvised weapons, according to TV. :-)

Hee! Shouldn't you be working? So, you think it would take you a few months to get bored? I beg to differ...

Ah, yes. It's much easier to be not-bored if there is money to throw around. :)

Uh... I am working. My boss just isn't here. :)

Best job ever. Haha I love how you're doing this at work.
