Oh my GOD. This was quite possibly the most stressful weekend I have ever had. EVER.

Spent the second weekend in a row apartment-hunting in DC with my parents. We did actually manage to find something, and I submitted an application today, but not before completely exceeding our quota of U-turns (DC apparently causes our GPS to have schizophrenic episodes), giving me a headache that lasted 36 hours, and provoking one extreme meltdown that included f-bombs being dropped, car doors being slammed, my mother shrieking in the backseat, and me needing to walk away and count to 100 to stop myself from punching someone.

But! Like I said, I did find a place, in Arlington, and it's very nice - a little more than I wanted to pay (and a LOT more than I'm paying now), but reasonable for the area, especially since it was recently renovated and so a lot of the stuff is brand new. My mother was jealous that I'll now have a nicer kitchen than she does. :)

*collapses*

Wake me up when it's moving day.

Are you going to be there this coming weekend? Do you need help moving? I'll be in DC/Virginia -- my boyfriend is helping his old college friend move out of her apartment, and since I'm not a fan of hers and angry that he'd volunteer to do that on the weekend I'm visiting him, I'm looking for something to do lol.

4th of July weekend in DC? Are you crazy, woman? *grin* You do realize that people descend in masses to the place to watch the fireworks, right?

Anywho.... I do wish you the best on the move. DC is much closer than PA. (Now I've got a reason to visit more often - not that my father lives there or anything. ^_~)

Maybe you, me, and [livejournal.com profile] slaymesoftly can do lunch sometime...

I'm glad you at least found a place. And yay for brand new stuff. My old apartment had a pretty fugly, retro dishwasher and stove. Very, very old and not very good.

*gives you aspirin and tucks you in*

Yikes! Sounds like you had a worse weekend than me. But yay for finding a place.

Exhaustion and explosions are pretty well the norm for moving stress.

Glad you found a good place. ::sending calm vibes::

Yay for new apartment! Sorry to hear about the crazy stress. Sounds like you deserve some serious pamper-yourself time.

Congratulations on finding a place. My niece went to law school at Georgetown. If I remember correctly she liked living in D.C.
