Character advice

I just stumbled onto this blog - which looks like a lot of fun for Leverage fans, since one of the bloggers is a writer on the show. Check out the "Leverage" tag for back posts about all the season 1 episodes. I also enjoyed the "What if Leverage were a sitcom?" video. :)
But back to the point of this post. I found the blog through a link from Complications Ensue (another good writer's blog) recommending this post, which has a few good methods for developing a character, including performance reviews and describing them from another character's POV. Could be useful (and fun) exercises in thinking about your characters.
And another post from the same blog, on how to keep characters from being furniture.
