Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this in your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.

Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] dawnofme, who gave me the following list:

Fan fiction
BTVS Canon
Chelsea
Being a Beta
Spuffy

Fan fiction:

Hmm, not sure what to say about this one that I haven't covered in my previous eleventy billion posts, lol. I mean, I've already talked about what I've written, and what I like to read. I've expressed plenty of opinions in various discussions about what I think makes a fic good. I've talked about my writing process and things that are hard for me. I will say that I'm not writing now - I've been on an indefinite hiatus for about a month now, which I decided to do when the self-inflicted pressure to write and the frustration at not writing were completely drowning out any enjoyment I might have gotten from the experience. No sense doing it if it's not fun, right?

BtVS Canon:

Uh... I'm obsessed with it? lol. BtVS canon is a great and terrible thing - the more I delve into it, the more I'm convinced that this show is simultaneously brilliant and unbelievably sloppy. I think I took its awesomeness as a given before I really started exploring the ins and outs of the Buffyverse, and there are times when I step back and wonder, "Why is it that I like this show? Its continuity is utter crap, its plots look like Swiss cheese, and most of its characters are startlingly unlikable." And yet, there's enough there to keep me coming back over and over. What's the deal, Joss?

Chelsea:

My kitty, for those who don't know her. Since I don't plan to have children, this is about the closest I'll get to parenting. I love her to pieces, even when she's a pest. I don't know how I managed this long without her. Having a pet has done wonders for my loneliness.

Being a Beta:

It can be rewarding and demanding. I'd say I'm about even in terms of good and bad experiences. I've had the chance to work with some great authors, and poke my fingers in some fantastic fics, but I've also had some darlings who make me want to bash my head against a wall (those generally don't last long as beta-ees). But it's also something I'm slowly backing away from (it helps that my authors seem to be gradually leaving the fandom) because it's just not as much fun as it used to be. I think I've learned a lot from doing it, though, and I made a post a while back with some advice on betaing here.

Spuffy:

The only pairing that has ever prompted me to write fic. Prior to this, my fic in other fandoms was mostly gen, yet for some reason, in BtVS fandom, this pairing seized hold of me and practically refused to let me write anything else. It's a blessing and a curse, I suppose, because it's an amazingly fertile pairing (no, not that kind of fertile... I don't do babyfic), so there's plenty of room to explore their complexities in fic, but at the same time, I kind of wish I could be inspired to write other pairings the way I've written Spuffy.
