I don't think this is possible, but I figured I'd throw the question out there and see if anyone had any ideas. Is there a way to filter an LJ comm so that only certain entries show up on my flist? Like, for example, if I only want to see entries tagged "Spuffy" and would like to skip all the entries with other pairings?

I know that I can track tags, and get an email every time a new entry is posted with that tag, but that'll clog up my inbox and also kind of defeat the purpose of the flist. But the total volume of posts on the comm is pretty annoying when I'm skipping at least half of them, so maybe getting a ton of emails would actually be less annoying.

I don't know the answer, but I'd love it if this idea were possible and I have the same "complaint". :)

Right now, I just play with the views menu on the navigation bar. When I first look at my friends page, I set it to view personal journals of my friends only. Then once I've read and commented on those, I go back and switch it to view communities only. Then I skim the entries quickly and only click the cuts for things I know I would be interested in viewing.

I don't think you can filter out the community's entries. You can filter the comm, and just peer into it when you have the time and inclination; and you can filter your flist so that you only see posts from certain people. But I think that's about it.

I don't think I understand the question, but can't you just click on that tag to see the entries with that tag? There's no email involved in that.
