I LIKED IT? I feel like I may have had more specific thoughts but now it's like a week later and I forgot them, oh well. I didn't think this season was overall as strong as the first season, but still lots of good stuff. Lizzy Caplan is so flawless it's gross tbh.

I love everything the show chooses to be on principle, so yeah, what you said. My only quibble with the season is the big time jumps, which I'm not convinced were necessary. Aside from that, everything is perfect 2 me.

Apparently the time jumps were prompted by ~real life. Masters and Johnson had a looong period of doing research where not much interesting happened, and their first book wasn't published until after they'd been working together for like 10 years. So the show had to start moving quickly in order to get back to the interesting stuff.

Expect the time jumps to become more of a regular thing, too, since their relationship lasted into the 80s, and we're still at 1960 after 2 seasons. They're picking up the pace.

As long as Shirley gets her fucking sandwich shop and her kids and makes a shitton of money doing it, I'm happy. JUST MAKE SHIRLEY HAPPY, SHOW. PLEASE. That's all I want for her!
