TV I'm (Maybe) Watching

Since summer is (relatively) lacking on the new TV front (although not as much of a barren wasteland as it used to be - currently, I'm watching 24, The Fosters, Graceland, and Undateable, and looking forward to a number of shows premiering soon), it's a good time to catch up on things I've missed or been meaning to watch.
I finally came back to Weeds, which I abandoned some time ago after season 3, which ends by pretty thoroughly blowing up the show's premise, and the general opinion seemed to be that what it became after that was never as good. I'm now into early season 5, and while the show is rather far from its "suburban mom pot dealer" origins, I wouldn't say it's necessarily worse? Granted, I love the addition of Demian Bichir, and that makes up for a lot, lol.
I also got around to starting Sleepy Hollow, which seems to be beloved for being unapologetically ridiculous crack. Which... it definitely is. As far as I can tell, the show seems to have come from putting Supernatural and National Treasure in a blender, then making it about 25% nuttier. I'm five episodes in, and although the rapport between Ichabod and Abbie is as delightful as promised, Nicole Beharie is flawless, and I enjoy Crane's "what fresh hell is this?" reactions to modern life, I find myself struggling to care about, y'know, the plot? Not only the overarching mythology, but even the Case of the Week stuff doesn't really hold my interest. Does that matter? Will it get better? If not, is it worth watching anyway?
I've only watched one episode of Fargo, and I can't decide if I want to watch more. Everyone who watches it seems to love it... but then again, everyone who watches it also seems to have loved the movie, which I am pretty meh on, so maybe I should take that as an indication that it's just Not For Me. Advice?

Date: Jun. 29th, 2014 09:12 pm (UTC)I have Fargo saved, but have yet to dive into it. I figure I'll watch it, since it's only 10 episodes.
Right now I'm catching up on S3 of Scandal.

Date: Jul. 2nd, 2014 01:03 am (UTC)I'm so sick of B6-13 I could scream. Let's murder a kid to win the election. Oh, and Cyrus almost let a church blow up to solve a political problem. I was sure that Sally's secret murder would come out and take her out of the running, and then Cyrus would go to jail too, so I was disappointed at how the President actually won the election. The way Olivia's father manipulated everything was really too OTT.
The West Wing, it isn't, lol.
