Good people of the DC Metro area, upopa_epops has just alerted me to the fact that Doctor Faustus YES YES THE ONE WITH MR. RORY POND ARTHUR DARVILL is going to be in select theaters on November 8th.

Since there is approximately zero chance any of my friends will want to see it, WHO WANTS TO GO WITH ME? lutamira?

ooooo, this could be fun!! The calendar is clear right now for Nov. 8, but it is possible that we'll have houseguests then (people are looking at tickets and might be here that week or the next.) I'll have to let you know in a week or two??? Do you think they are going to sell out right away? I bet not, at least not at all the theaters...

I don't think they'll sell out, especially as I've seen zero advertising for it? I wouldn't have even known if Marta hadn't linked to the UK announcement.

OK. So, the bad news is; the in-laws finally bought their tix and they are going to be in town over the 8th. The good news is: Arthur Darvill is playing Mephistopheles in a production of Doctor Faustus that you can actually go see??? (See what I tried to to there?) I'm really sorry I won't be able to be your fan buddy for the evening. It would have been super-fun. I am, however, holding out hope that there will be future opportunities (stalking the filming of CA II, maybe? or whenever Joss' MAAN makes it to town, or, other fun things?)

Oh, that's even more fantastic! I guess I'm just so used to Arthur playing someone inevitably teetering towards oblivion that my mind automatically slotted him for Faustus. :D

I wish I was in DC so I could go with you! I'm actually in NC right now for school and I'm supposed to be having surgery sometime soon -- but it's one of those things where it keeps getting postponed and they keep doing follow-ups (blah, I could ramble at length about this).
