That 100 Things thing

I have finally made a decision on the 100 Things project! I am doing it! However, because I am lame lazy open-minded, I'm going to let YOU pick what I talk about.

Basically, I will answer 100 questions - personal, fannish, political, hypothetical, whatever. Ask 'em in this post or on any 100 things post. If I don't have a question for the day, I'll grab a topic from this prompt generator, but I'd much rather answer yours!

Question for today: 10 reasons you would (or wouldn't) want to be famous.

Well, let's do this up pros and cons style, shall we?

Pros:
1. I'd get to meet other famous people, which makes my goal of dating one of my TV boyfriends that much easier!
2. I'd probably be kinda rich, since that and famous seem to go together. In any case, I'm assuming I must have done something awesome in order to become famous, so I probably made a lot of money from that, whatever it is.
3. I'd have minions people to do things for me, like an assistant and a personal shopper and stylists and housekeepers.
4. I'd have lots more opportunities to travel.
5. I could be adored a role model for young women.

Cons:
1. The total lack of privacy. I wouldn't want all my personal shit ending up on E! or whatever.
2. I would be terrible at interacting with fans. I don't particularly enjoy talking to strangers and am generally awkward in social situations.
3. I wouldn't know if people genuinely liked me or just wanted to hang out with me because I'm famous.
4. It would probably be horrible for my body image, since there'd be way more pressure to look a certain way if I were in the public eye.
5. 90% of celebrity marriages end in divorce, so my TV boyfriend and I probably wouldn't last.

I would never want to be famous. (Most people can probably guess this about me, lol.) I would, however, like to be rich. :)

I wouldn't want to be famous but it would be neat to have done something that makes me well-known in my field. Don't need to be rich but I'd like to have enough money to travel whenever I want. I'm so picky!

I have a long-standing dream of going on David Letterman. Being famous would help with that.

But I think all your cons outweigh my Letterman obsession. I could just teach my dog to jumprope and go on a Stupid Pet Tricks segment instead.

Oh, good answers! I like the dating dream TV boyfriends bit. The only good thing about the divorce bit is that at least you'd then be able to move on to another dream TV boyfriend.

Or, you know, you can keep an entire harem of dream TV boyfriends. That could work.

Here are some questions I think would be interesting or fun to answer:

1. Name a book or film or show or play (or whatever) that made you question your most deeply held beliefs.

2. Is there a particular town or city, besides your own, in which you would love to live? And explain why.

3. If you had the time and resources to take a Grand Tour, what countries and cities would you choose to visit?
