Hey! Long time no see!

Work once again took over my life this week, which probably doesn't surprise most of you. It looks like the craziness is just about over, though. (I should probably be disappointed, but mostly I'm relieved to be getting my life back, lol. I am quite sad that I won't have an excuse to see my Cute Lobbyist Crush for six hours a day anymore. :( Must come up with a plan...) I think I'm mostly caught up on posts, but let me know if I missed anything cool!
I've been working on Galentine's Day gifts, and OMG YOU GUYS I am so excited to post them that I'm not sure how I'll actually wait until Feb. 13th.
Met up with
lutamira for lunch on Friday. I am pleased to report that she is delightful and cool, and now I'm sad she's going to Seoul for six months and won't be around. (But I'm sure she'll have an amazing time and we'll get to read all her posts about it!)
(And while we're on the subject of locals, I keep noticing a ton of visits from the DC area in my visitor stats. Clearly there are more of you around than I know about! Don't be shy!)
I started up a new pilates class yesterday, and now EVERYTHING HURTS. YE GODS. I think my abs are broken. I mean, I've done pilates before, but that was INTENSE. One of the other women in the class actually said, "Um, this is the Level I class, right?" I got a really good deal - 10 classes for $50 (normally it's $150) - so here's hoping I stick to it.
What's new with you?

Date: Jan. 22nd, 2012 05:34 pm (UTC)Ouch! I know how much pilates can hurt! The good news is it means it's working! I've only done home videos though.
I'm still going at it with the kettlebell right now. For incentive I tell myself if I work out a certain number of times per month I can buy a DVD or book that I really want. It's a good motivator during the hard parts of the work out, or days I just don't want to do it.
