Hehhhhh, so I kind of got carried away with Day 4? I can't help it, I have a tendency to overidentify with characters, lol. Plus, they're all so strong and broken and yet utterly adorable that I couldn't choose just one!
Day Four: A female character you relate to
Buffy Summers, Caroline Forbes, and Erica Strange

I identify with Buffy in a lot of ways, but by far the strongest areas of identification are her S6 depression arc, her struggle to handle adult responsibilities, and her soul-crushing (heh) relationship history. So that's what I've focused on here.

Ah, Caroline. Insecure, neurotic Caroline. I completely identify with her overachiever personality - because it's all just a show to hide the insecurity, right? - and the way she always feels second-best to Elena and passed over by guys. We will talk more about Vampire!Caroline and how much I admire her strength and confidence when we get to the character arc day, but man, I would love to be as awesome as Caroline someday... just, you know, without having to turn into a vampire to do it.

I have loved Erica's journey through therapy - watching this show is almost like being in therapy yourself. :) I love watching her learn and grow, and I particularly like how very human she is. Sometimes she makes the same mistakes over again, sometimes she knows the right thing to do, but does the wrong thing anyway, and sometimes she gets really angry at Dr. Tom for making her face things she doesn't want to face. And I think the most important lesson Erica learns - to stop wishing she could change the past and start trying to learn from her mistakes - is one that has been influential for me.
