Awww...I'm trying not to read Whedonistas reviews in fear that they say something like, "All the essays were spectacular except this sucky one by the chick with the weird name."

I've had the wisdom teeth fear. For a while, my jaw was just killing me. Unfortunately, oral surgeons aren't covered under my insurance, so I was having to tough it out. Then the pain went away. So I'm still all wisdom teeth-ful.

I hope your jaw pain gets relieved one way or another. :)

Haha, I admit, when I saw the review, my first thought was, "Oooh, I wonder if it'll mention Gabs by name!" And my second thought was, "Oh, no, what if it says something BAD?"

Fortunately, it DOES mention you by name and NOT in a bad way. :)

And thanks. I flirted with the idea of getting my wisdom teeth out once before, but I went to a reluctant oral surgeon who was like, "Well, they'd be tough to get out, so if they're not bothering you, just keep 'em." So here we are again.

Ah, you eased my fears enough to read the review. Yay! They spelled my name right! :)

That's a weird oral surgeon that apparently doesn't want to make any money from you. Most doctors I've seen are all-too-eager to put me through a variety of expensive procedures and/or surgery. I had dentists insisting I get my wisdom teeth pulled before they ever started hurting.

Haha, my mother has a theory that he didn't really want to be an oral surgeon. She went to him to get a tooth pulled, and he told her the same thing - "If it's not bothering you, just leave it alone." Hence we refer to him as the reluctant oral surgeon. :) His father is in the same practice, so we suspect he was pressured into it.
