I'm BAAAAACK!

Paper is DONE. Semester is OVER. Time to finish my Christmas shopping wrap presents bake cookies PARTAY!
Actually, I did manage to squeeze in a Christmas party in between all the paper-writing. I used the same writing strategy that I used all through college, and it has never let me down. It goes something like this:
Step 6, naturally, was accomplished mostly by laying on the sofa with a cat sitting on top of me, because Chelsea is apparently jealous of my laptop. She sits on my chest and begs for under-the-chin scritches while I'm trying to peer over her head at the screen. She also managed to destroy a catnip toy on the sofa. I tried to clean it up as best I could, but there is still clearly catnip lurking in the sofa crevices, which of course drives Chelsea crazy every time she goes past it. At one point, she was dive-bombing my pile of research, convinced the catnip was hiding in there. Oh, and she's still trying desperately to eat my Christmas tree. She's no longer interested in the ornaments; she just keeps eating the fake pine needles (or rather, pulling them off the tree and then spitting them on the floor, because she'll eat anything, but she won't eat plastic).
So, a loooong time ago, I promised you a recipe! And here it is... Spinach and Pesto Pasta Bake. I made it two weekends ago, and it was OMG SO GOOD I want to make it again, even though I ate leftovers for three days and usually I get sick of things when I do that. It helps that I get this amazing pesto from Harris Teeter (I could eat it with a spoon). Recipe notes - I had to add more heavy cream and milk (probably over a cup altogether), because it was really thick and not saucy enough. I also used extra cheese because, um, I like cheese. :) SOO GOOD! TRY IT!
Book/TV reviews forthcoming!
Actually, I did manage to squeeze in a Christmas party in between all the paper-writing. I used the same writing strategy that I used all through college, and it has never let me down. It goes something like this:
- Two weeks before paper is due, start thinking about writing it.
- Figure out how many pages you'd need to write per day in order to finish on time, and plan to do it.
- Stick to the plan for two days.
- Get overconfident at your progress.
- Procrastinate for a week and a half.
- Spend the entire weekend before the due date locked in your apartment (or the library) and don't leave until the paper is done.
- Profit!
