* Chris Evans gives the most awesomely honest interview ever. Or: how to make your publicist cry.
* Joss Whedon says the S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show will have entirely brand-new characters. Am I the only one wishing that HIMYM would just fucking END ALREADY so this could be The Maria Hill Show? You know Cobie Smulders would rock it.
* Speaking of new TV shows, fall premiere season is upon us. Which ones are you excited for? Have you been keeping up with all the pilots that were aired early and/or released online?
In addition to The Mindy Project, I watched the first ep of Revolution, the post-apocalyptic J.J. Abrams show with the dubious "all forms of energy have mysteriously disappeared" description. It turns out to be slightly more sense-making than that - it seems like more of a widespread, permanent EMP-type thing that makes anything electrical stop working? But it also seems that the question of "why did the power go out?" (and, subsequently, "who knew it would happen?" and "can we turn it back on?") is going to be the central mystery/conspiracy that inevitably overcomplicates all J.J. Abrams shows. When will you learn - less mystery, more good characters! I am somewhat intrigued by Charlie, the Katniss-esque main character, but so far they haven't grabbed me the way the Lost pilot did. I'll stick with it for a few episodes, at least, to see where it goes.
Also watching Go On, a Matthew Perry sitcom in which a recently widowed sports radio host joins a support group to deal with his grief. I've enjoyed the two episodes I've seen so far. It's... not the funniest premise ever, but it's doing some interesting things with it. Just don't expect nonstop laughs. I'll probably be checking out Nashville and 666 Park Avenue, too. Anything else I should look out for?
