Gah, what an awful day. And I didn't even drink last night! Yet my head still feels like I got whacked with a baseball bat and I woke up feeling like I was going to throw up (I haven't yet, but the feeling hasn't gone away). So I'm avoiding doing work at all costs, and instead filling out this meme gakked from dawnofme and pfeifferpack.

Best Pilots in my poor memory...

So, TV Guide made a list of the ten best TV pilots ever, nine out of ten of which I've never seen. (And the one I did see - 24 - although I love the series, the pilot episode is actually a little slow, except that it introduced the cool real-time format.) It must have only appeared in the print version, since no one seems to have a link, but the list is reprinted here and here, along with blogger commentary. Anyway, I decided to make my own list, which is more like "Best TV Pilots of the last ten years" (not that the original list was really reaching that far back) because I can't remember anything on TV prior to 1997, and I didn't watching anything except Sesame Street and cartoons prior to 1990. But then again, I figured, if I can't actually remember a show's pilot, then it probably wouldn't make a "best" list anyway, right?
