Well, this one doesn't really need an introduction, since Joel Grey does it for me. :) I still haven't seen Wicked, but I'm sure I will eventually. I'm just sorry I missed seeing it with Kristin Chenowith and Idina Menzel, because they are both amazing. I give you "Defying Gravity":

OMG me too! I actually don't want to see it now that Idina and Kristen aren't in it, but I watch that youtube clip all the time. Haha.

Sure! If you don't mind driving all the way to TX that is...LOL. Not seen [ title of show ] but I've heard a few of the songs on the Broadway station. Seems interesting, just not sure if it's ever stopped by my area (or if it has, don't remember hearing anything about it). Have fun!

oh i love wicked! i saw it a few years ago and it was wonderful! though i liked the book better. its really different . the musical focuses more on the friendship between the two witches. the books a hell of a lot darker. its main question is if we are all born with evil inside us. how people become evil what "evil" really is. elphaba is considered evil for wanting to help Animals (with a capitalized A signifying human thoughts, feelings , comprehension and emotions) who are a abused and tread as second class citizens. she is considered evil and is a threat to the wizard. its really a great read.

oh i love his writing... but uhh.. yah. its true. he meanders. i kind of hated son of a witch. well parts anyway... thats just his way though and when he starts to annoy me i just start skim reading.

I remember reading one of his other books (maybe the Cinderella one?) at the recommendation of my English teacher, and I couldn't make it through. His style really put me off.

Seen Wicked twice and I never stop loving it tbh. I saw it at the Pantages in Los Angeles and I got to go backstage, which was one of the top 5 moments of my life. Touching the shoe rack...*faints* I wish the pictures would have come out. Kind of a shame that we missed Adam Lambert by one night. He was already prepping for Idol at that point.

Since you're a Broadway fan, I assume you know all about Forbidden Broadway?

It was made up of this Broadway actor that was getting tired of the way Broadway was changing so he wrote a stage show that lampoons and satirizes some of the biggest hits and the stars of Broadway. It is so funny! A lot of the people he pokes fun at actually show up at the shows. Here's the Wikipedia article for it and The Website

I have...a lot of the cast recordings of the shows if you want to take a listen. I can upload them and send you the links via PM.
