next_to_normal: (Jeff/Annie debate the crap out of you)

In case you can't tell, I'm giving my On Demand a workout and catching up on TV. I don't really have deep thoughts about Community, just lots of awesome quotes:

Jeff to Annie: "I can't say no to those big doe eyes. It's like strangling a mermaid with a bike chain." Annie manipulating Jeff is my OTP.

Troy and Abed in the vending machine! "I think I hit G-13..."

Troy: "Oh my god, Pierce is going to be the only person ever to drown in a parking lot... twice." The entire sailboat-in-the-parking-lot thing was hilarious. Captain Shirley! Hee!

Pottery Teacher to Jeff: "Congratulations, you failed a class so easy that people passing in the hallway get contact credit."

Abed on Annie and Shirley teaming up: "That's a buddy cop movie I would watch." ME TOO, ABED. ME TOO. And Annie would so be the badass. Check out the way she slammed Jeff's head on the table and she loves him.

Troy to Britta: "You're more of a fun vampire, because you don't suck blood. You just suck."

Annie and the pepper spray OMG. "This is self-inflicted friendly fire, okay?" And Abed doing the black police chief, lol.

Troy and Abed in the Morrrrning!

I want to hug this post!

Annie manipulating Jeff is my OTP. OH YES.

All of those quotes are made of awesome things, and Annie is totally the badass and loves Jeff. And I think Troy and Abed are up there on my list of BFF OTPs with Veronica and Wallace.

Gah. I love every single thing about that show. I've been using my facebook to evangelize for it, hoping to win new converts. I posted the Troy and Abed doing Bert and Ernie clip on my BFF's wall last night and she was like, "I'm visiting Hulu NOW!" And I felt great satisfaction.

The fact that Jeff hates Glee fills me with glee. When he was all, "I don't see the appeal!" I was all, "Oh, you so wouldn't." That was a perfect moment of unexpected characterization.

yay! an excuse to use my musical icon!

I honestly don't think you're missing much. It's overrated. I continue to watch because I like Jane Lynch...and, honestly, that might be the only reason. Every once in a while, a song is really great, but mostly they're way overproduced, sung by people who sing through their noses. Keep on ignoring it, I say. ;)

Wow. That was kind of negative. I know some people love it...but I kinda get the feeling you wouldn't be one of them. Maybe I'm projecting?

Haha! Maybe so!

I'll be a little fairer: it's a mildly diverting way to spend forty minutes. And a lot of the actors are genuinely talented. And I've heard the youngsters sing the national anthem a capella, and it was really gorgeous. So they can sing, you just can't tell it on the show. ;)

But it's got bad writing. It really, really does. So I'd steer you in other directions, just like I'm steering myself. No more Glee for me! (Probably. I do love Jane Lynch.)

OMG yes to all these quotes! Just YES.

I watched last night's episode twice in a row 'cause of the hilarity. The "self-inflicted friendly fire" and Abed's making Annie and Shirley a buddy-cop movie was just A+.
