Snagged from [personal profile] pfeifferpack. I generally have a poor showing on these types of things, since I was apparently raised under a rock and never saw any good movies. I've got Blockbuster online now, so I'm starting to catch up, but it's still pretty pitiful.

So, I just did this meme to satisfy my own curiosity and apparently I've seen 96/250 movies. That's... a lot. But I love movies and I used to be a bit of an indie snob in high school. Every week I'd see a movie with my friend Ethan. It was freakish,, but I look back fondly at it.

"The Shawshank Redemption" is one of my favorite movies. It's surprisingly good. However, I'm surprised Stephen King did not get sued by whomever wrote "Escape from Alcatraz." "To Kill a Mockingbird" is also good, though I did see it in class after reading the book. Not having regular class can make things seem brighter :-P

And, yes, "The Princess Bride" is the best movie ever :-)

The Shawshank Redemption has some of the most powerful moments I've ever seen. Morgan Freeman finding the box and deciding to go on always kills me. Get busy living, or get busy dying. I love that movie.

An interesting exercise

Well I got to 88 - which is all those boring Saturday afternoons, and a long relationship which centred on the University Cinema. I'm not sure about some of the foreign films, so I've guessed. There's a few on the list that I wonder about (Shaun of the Dead? Really? and The Incredibles?) And one or two I think should be there - Babette's Feast, Enchanted April, Strictly Ballroom - but I always feel that with a Best Of list, don't you? Anyway, thanks for sharing. Oh, and I think the Princess Bride should be much further up the list!

I've seen 107. I have to admit, most of the foreign films I've not only not seen, I've never even heard of them.

Since the invention of the kiss there have been five kisses that were rated the most passionate, the most pure. This one left them all behind. The End.

Best ending ever.

I've got a fair number, considering that when in doubt with the foreign titles I didn't check them even if I've probably seen some with other names. But, don't you have avant-garde cinema theaters over there? You are missing all of the great black & white ones, plus don't you feel deprived for lack of Hitchcock? PLEASE, at least get Some Like It Hot...it would work on TV screen, and it's got probably the best ever ending sentence, and I'm really sorry that you missed 2001 on the anniversary, because that one needs the total immersion of the big screen. And I thought I was cut out...

*snort* I really can't say anything about what movies you haven't seen because I really suspect I've seen fewer on this list than you have.
