bendy1 (or bendybendy, her new icon-making alter ego) is one of my favorite iconners. I can't even count how many I have saved on my computer, but if I didn't rotate them, I probably wouldn't have room for anyone else. Most of them are funny/irreverent, but this one I actually picked because it's pretty. I love James in this shot (from one of the photo shoots for the new album, posted on JMLive), the foot pointed inward almost little-kid-like, the casual grip on the guitar, how small he looks compared to nature. Makes me want to run up the road to meet him.

Made by _yourbestbet_. I don't have a lot of DB icons, but I like this one because it's playful. He looks like he's playing peekaboo. DB is so much more adorable when he's being silly and funny, rather than ol' broodypants Angel. That's why Booth is a much better character fit for him than Angel - it gives him a chance to be funny.

Oh, man, the pineapple! Okay, this only makes sense if you watch Psych (which is an awesome show, so you should watch it). There's a running joke throughout the series that they try to slip a pineapple reference into every episode. Sometimes it's subtle and random - Shawn (that's Shawn in the picture) has been known to drink a pineapple smoothie, or bake a pineapple upside down cake, or wear a Hawaiian shirt with pineapples on it. But other times it's more prominent, like when Shawn offers, "Want to split a pineapple?" in order to soften up a hard-to-question suspect, which is where this pic comes from. Alright, I'll bite. This should be interesting as I usually don't give a hell of a lot of thought to picking icons other than "oooh, pretty" or "I need such and such a pairing or character for a fic post."

LOL, that's how I pick most of my icons, too. Let's see... Illyriaface, I'm sorry, and angel stare. (I tried to avoid the ones I know were "I need this pairing for a fic" icons.)

I really liked the JM one - it was such an interesting shot. And, while I haven't yet seen Bones, I have to agree that Angel didn't allow DB to show some of the other facets of his personality (except very rarely). That makes it starkly clear that I've always liked Angelus more than Angel simply because Angelus expressed so many more emotions than just "guilty brooding".

And hee!! Okay, Psych sounds very intriguing; I'll have to see if I can find it somewhere... *grin* Thanks!

Yay! Always good to convert a new Psych fan. :) Season 1 is out on DVD, so that should be pretty easy to find, and season 2 just ended, so that should be out on DVD by the summer. NBC was also planning to show reruns (it usually airs on USA) starting in March due to the strike, but maybe they changed their minds now that the strike's over.

Oh, me too! I've often known exactly what I want for an icon, but I can't make 'em, so I have to go searching for one that's close.
