I think the overarching issue here, though, is that the show's just not as funny as it used to be? I mean, maybe if they'd handled B/R or the mother differently, it would've helped, but I think I'd have a lot more patience for those long-running arcs if the individual episodes were keeping me entertained. When the episodes aren't funny, it just makes everything more aggravating.
