Hey, congrats on the possible solution to car problems, and also on your grandmother finally agreeing to move - I know how challenging those situations are, and what a relief it is when someone finally agrees to the care they need!
I'm interested in your non-love of Sweeney since I love all things Sondheim and ST most of all. Maybe I love it for the same reasons you don't like it - it is such a Sondheimy Sondheim, and also kind of a tough nut to crack musically and lyrically - I adore the complexity and once the rhythms and musical themes settle in, they stay with you. However, Mr. L's dad is a part-time musician and has had to play for the show twice and he hates it with all his heart. :)
