Something next to normal, that's the thing I'd like to try

So I'm in the middle of The Hunger Games and I'v pretty much gotten stuck just past the part where Rue dies. I'm not as engaged as I thought I would be, and I really need some encouragement to finish the series. So guess what? I nominate you to write me up the reasons why I shouldn't just give up on the books. You have a passion for them I admire and so hopefully you can get me hooked on them again?
