Haha, you guys, this is out of control. But so much fun!

Day Eight: Favorite female character in a comedy show
Annie Edison, Leslie Knope, and Robin Scherbatsky

Heh, this and the favorite drama character day are basically "collections of characters on my favorite shows who didn't fit into another, more specific category." I don't actually watch that many comedies - the only one not represented here is The Office, which didn't seem worthy, haha. But these three ladies are definitely my favorites in their respective shows.

Academically-driven Annie matches me neurosis for neurosis. She's actually EXACTLY like I was in high school, and sort of through college, before I discovered the art of being a slacker. :) She pushes herself too hard, cares too much what other people think, and she has a bit of a competitive streak. But she's also fantastic at manipulating people (oh, if only I had those big Disney eyes to work with!) and she's genuinely a sweet and sensitive person... which kind of seems contradictory to the manipulating thing, but she usually uses her powers for good!

Y'all know how I feel about government service, so of course I adore Leslie. It cracks me up how painfully accurate the show is sometimes with the insanity of local politics, but I love that Leslie is so dedicated to her work, and that other people recognize and admire that.

Also, I clearly have a thing with women and firearms. I don't know what that's about. Speaking of which...

I don't know how I missed the opportunity to include the fabulous Robin Scherbatsky with a weapon. But I do love the way she defies gender stereotypes by being a gun-loving, cigar-smoking, career-driven, commitment-phobic, rabid sports fan. I mean, other than the guns and the cigars and the sports, she's a lot like me. :)
