Yes! Everything you said! Especially about how the awesomeness of Katniss/Peeta ~overcomes/subverts the obnoxiousness of those tropes. There's also Peeta being in love with Katniss since forever despite not having any sort of relationship with her, but that doesn't really bother me either. Maybe because he never bugged her about it. And also because Peeta Mellark is perfection in every other way.

I've been seeing a lot of talk about Kaya Scodelario as Katniss, which I'm ambivalent about (though I love her). My only specific hope for the movie is that it doesn't suck...
