next_to_normal: (Christmas Chelsea)
Yeah... December meme is on time-out right now. I will probably come back to it after Christmas, maybe after New Year's, definitely before Valentine's Day. I only have a couple more topics to discuss (and one of them was Agents of SHIELD, which would've been timely earlier this month when everyone was talking about whether or not it was any good and if we should lower our expectations... oh well), but I'd like to have time to actually think of something new to say about them, haha.

* If you ignore the "strong female character" reference in the subtitle, this is a really good article that basically suggests we've arrived at the era of female anti-heroes (FINALLY), and in general a wealth of female-dominated shows.

* Baron Von Strucker will be part of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and some names are already being floated for the role. Meanwhile, Paul Rudd has been confirmed as Ant-Man.

* Jed and Mo talk about Agents of SHIELD. Also, a look at the show's costume design.

* "Love in the Time of Hollering" is a great, thought-provoking piece about broad appeal vs. deep passion, the cacophonous (and frequently negative) Internet, and the entertainment industry's inability to monetize enthusiasm. It also has a fantastically clever title.

* This Community trailer is animated, because why not?
