Best/worst thing ever
Mar. 27th, 2013 01:14 pmI don't know if anyone else has noticed, but Comcast/Xfinity is having what they call Watchathon Week, where full seasons of a bunch of shows - including the premium channels - are available for free through On Demand. Biggest time-suck EVER. (Then again, I now have nothing better to do, so...) So I watched all of season 1 of Veep, the first episode of Elementary (meh, not impressed) and have now started on episode 4 of Game of Thrones. So far my thoughts are vague and lady-focused. Stay tuned.

* LOL! HIMYM creators promise we will meet the Mother next season. HEY, ASSHOLES, IT IS THE LAST SEASON (...God willing). You are not telling us anything we didn't already know.
* Thanks to the VM success, Adrianne Palicki is talking up a Friday Night Lights Kickstarter. While I would never say no to more Coach and Mrs. Coach, the series did seem pretty well wrapped up for them. I'd actually prefer to catch up with some of the younger generation.
* Follow up to yesterday: You can listen to Bryan Cranston's 911 call after his car was broken into. He is remarkably calm about the whole thing. Very Heisenberg.
* Katharine McPhee is pulling a diva act re: Smash, and won't return in the unlikely event the show gets a third season. Good riddance, I'd say. There is a great show starring Megan Hilty buried in there somewhere.
* "The Film Before the Film" is a really interesting short documentary on the history of film opening titles.
* Yet another Iron Man 3 trailer.
