I never saw it that way. Cordy did a LOT of growing up in LA. But there was always that part of her that was a little materialistic, which I loved. It kept her character real in a way that perhaps Buffy wasn't. *shrugs* I dunno.... Besides, Angel so owed her. He did give away her clothes, after all.
