Oh, God. Is "everyone from Heroes" a valid answer? Seriously, I haven't watched the show in years, and it's still rage-inducing just thinking about it. If I had to narrow it down, I'd say Hiro and Mohinder were the worst offenders, by virtue of being both criminally stupid and painfully boring. Sometimes I felt like they were having a stupid-off, to see who can do the dumbest possible thing each episode. You know it's bad when I'm rooting for Adam and Sylar to kill them. Horribly.

I don't know why everybody loves Hiro so much. He drove me fucking crazy. I hated how in every arc, he had some bizarro plot line that had nothing to do with anything else (usually involving extensive time travel to make a tedious and unnecessarily drawn-out point), only to swoop in at the end, waving his goddamn sword around, all, "I wanna be a hero!!" Fuck you. You don't deserve to be a hero because you're A FUCKING IDIOT who is completely irrelevant to the actual plot.

I used to write about Heroes on my RL blog, where Mohinder at one point earned the title of "stupidest stupidhead in Stupidville," but I think it's too close to call, really. But Mohinder was dead to me when he shot HRG. You don't shoot my HRG. I don't care if they brought him back to life, I'm still pissed. Also, I hated his voice overs.

Oh, and you know who else I hated? Maya. I hated both the Wonder Twins, but then Sylar killed Annoying Boy Twin (whose name I don't even remember), so he didn't annoy me anymore. (Sometimes it's nice to have a crazy fucker around to thin out the riff-raff.) I got all excited when he killed Maya, too, but then Mohinder brought her back to life (See? Too. Stupid. To. Live.), for which I will never, EVER forgive him. OMG, I was so pissed. You have no idea how thrilled I was to see her dead, and then they TOOK IT BACK, the bastards.

Honorable Mentions: Mandy and Amy from The West Wing (what can I say, Josh has terrible taste in women). Summer Glau in everything ever.

Summer Glau in everything ever.

I liked her in Firefly, but after that, yeah. It seems like she just seems to be playing variants of River. And it's not cute anymore. I HATED her on Dollhouse. And I hate Bennett. I might have liked Bennett if she had been played by someone else.

This made me laugh out loud: You know it's bad when I'm rooting for Adam and Sylar to kill them. Horribly. I hated everybody on that show at one point or another or all the time if you're Maya and Alejandro (Yes, I went to imdb to find out his name). Everyone bugged me just that much.

Yeah. I agree. ALSO I LOVED HRG. And Adam. And Elle, because KBell is cool. But everyone else sucks. I hate them so much.

I actually didn't hate Mandy, though I definitely didn't like her. Probably the lack of hate is due to my OVERWHELMING LOVE OF EVERYONE ELSE. I'm too distracted by everyone else's awesome to be annoyed by her suck at this point. Though on a rewatch, I probably will hate her more. As for Josh's taste in women, I like Joey Lawrence okay, though I wish they'd quit dragging this out.

OMG YES! I feel like the only person in the world who isn't like oh, she is so awesome. She's not. She's the same char in everything she's in. At least in Sarah Connor she didn't have to act since she was a frickin' robot.

I disliked her in Firefly, but yeah, it was definitely less annoying the first time she played that character type. It gets less funny every time she does it. I felt the same way about Bennett - everybody turned into Topher/Bennett shippers and I just wanted to stab her in the eye with a hot poker. I might've been less stabby if she'd been played by a less annoying actress.

Gah! I liked HRG, Adam, Elle, and occasionally Claire and Peter, when they weren't afflicted with the stupid virus. (Someone on TWOP had a theory that Mohinder's power was actually stupidity, and Peter absorbed it from spending so much time with him.) But yeah, everyone else could die horrible, painful deaths and I wouldn't mind.

I just finished the one after the third state of the union address. "The War at Home," I think it's called?

One of my favorite moments was when you hear this male voice say something about how Josh has the cutest butt in politics and it's Joey's interpreter. She's way fun. And snarky.

I'm probably gonna be stealing that icon shortly. It's too good to pass up. Toby's misanthropy makes me smile.

Oh yay! So you're in season 2. Because the thing I wanted to giggle about was how Mandy completely disappears without a trace after season 1, even though they had the perfect opportunity to write her out. "In the Shadow of Two Gunmen" is supposed to pick up immediately from "What Kind of Day Has It Been?" and yet, they've all managed to completely forget Mandy ever worked for them in the span of the shooting. They didn't even bother to kill her off, lol.

Actually, that's been driving me CRAZY. It's the one continuity issue that's bothering me. Because you're right--they totally did have reason to write her out with that whole "the paper going around" thing.

But I'm glad she's gone. :D

It does happen more than once on this show that characters disappear (like Cathy! Sam has an assistant for the first season, and then she's just gone and he starts using Toby's), I think largely due to actor availability, but Mandy is the most blatant. That's the only time it happened to a series regular.

But yeah, I'm glad she's gone, too, so it doesn't bother me. :)

I don't know why it's so hard to explain these things. Just once, I would like a show where continuity matters. (VM was continuity porn in season 1, but then it all fell apart.)

Trust me: one day when I'm creating/writing for my own TV show? Continuity will matter. I might even hire a Superfan to fact-check every episode I write for the sake of continuity.

Seriously, whenever TV disappoints me, I mentally start picking out the writers that will write on my TV show--from my flist. Because I am dead serious: if I put together a group of writers from my flist and we made a show together, that show would be amazing, because we know how this stuff works and we care and we pay attention and we're generally awesome.

I think The Sopranos has good continuity. But then, I've never done anything but watch it, so I have no idea what people say when they dissect it online, LOL. But I don't remember thinking WTF at any point (though I could be missing something). I did think WTF on VM at several points, even though I've only watched it once, and wasn't consciously trying to dissect it. There were just things that stood out that badly.

Continuity errors bug me because some of them are so easily avoided!!

My kids watched Igor on Sunday. They put the monster in carriage 12. She comes out of carriage 03. WTF? It's a freakin CG movie and they can't check something THAT basic???
