Which TV shows did you start watching in 2011?

Hahahahaha!

Okay. Twin Peaks, Downton Abbey, Jekyll, The Tudors, My So-Called Life, Farscape, Homeland, Pan Am, Suburgatory, Ringer, The Hour, Shameless, Louie... I think that's all? Oh, and 30 Rock, but I didn't get far.

Which TV shows did you let go of in 2011?

Other than a few new shows that I tried to like, but didn't last for more than one episode of (Grimm, Once Upon a Time, that other one with Michael Emerson and Jesus that I don't remember the name of...), I can't say I've actually dropped anything.

On the "sad to see you go" side, Being Erica and Friday Night Lights both ended this year. *sniff*

Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2011? Why?

Oh, good grief. The list of shows I want to watch is absurd. I will say that I meant to get around to finishing Six Feet Under (I stopped at the end of S2) but got distracted by other shiny things.

Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2012?

Uh... The Good Wife, The Wire, Being Human, Misfits, Skins, Justified, Sons of Anarchy, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared... what'd I miss?

New shows I'm curious about: Smash, Alcatraz, House of Lies, Awake, and Touch.

Which TV show impressed you least in 2011?

Well, obviously the ones I stopped watching after one episode. :-P I may give 30 Rock another chance, but what I saw didn't grab me.

Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2012 unless things significantly improve?

Dexter and The Office are severely on notice. I feel like I'm past the point where I should give up on both of them, but... I don't. Dexter because each season bears little resemblance or continuity to the previous one, so it's entirely possible that next season will be good again and it'll be like this season never happened. (Shut up, I know. I'm way too optimistic.) And The Office because... well... there's nothing else on? HIMYM is also somewhat on notice, but I fear my love for the actors will keep me watching until the bitter end.

Which TV show impressed you the most in 2011? Why?

Parks and Recreation and Homeland for sustaining such flawlessness (Lauren's phrase), but in very, VERY different ways. Homeland is BY FAR the best new show this season, and Parks and Rec is the best returning show. (I was thinking of doing a "Top Ten of 2011" TV post, so... spoiler alert: These two win ALL MY FEELINGS.)

Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why?

It actually takes a lot for me to stop watching a show (as my answers to this meme should indicate), but Parks & Rec has clearly earned my loyalty to the bitter end. And if I've lived through this much, it's hard to see giving up on The Vampire Diaries or Mad Men at this point. Likewise with Community and Chuck, although I fear their ends will come a lot quicker.

Shows I watched and loved that aren't mentioned on this list because I started them in another year

Doctor Who, Fringe,
Leverage, Burn Notice, Psych, and Parenthood. I think that's all of them...

This is the only reason I'm not bailing. Though the storyline I hate most I bet will continue (DEB, WHY?).

Totally agree about Homeland. It was flawless and so brilliant, inovative and human. Best thing in a long time.

I can't wait to see the next season and every other new thing paled beside it.

It was a bit disappointed by the fairy tale shows. Grimm was completely boring and Once upon a time moves at snail pace to a very trivial place.
