Hey, remember when I used to watch Lost?

And then I'd talk about it and amuse all of you who'd seen the show already with my reactions and wild speculations? Let's do that some more!
So, there are two islands now? I have problems with this. I suppose Lost is not exactly the kind of show it's worth ragging on for continuity errors, because hi, NOTHING MAKES SENSE, but there’s no way the Others transported Jack, Kate, and Sawyer from one island to another without them noticing. I’d mean, you’d notice if you were on a boat, right? Even if you were blindfolded. Maybe I shouldn’t underestimate the Dharma Initiative, but I rather doubt that they built an underground tunnel between islands. And I find it hard to believe that with all the sailing around and climbing mountains they’ve been doing, no one’s spotted the second island.
I also am baffled by the fact that the Others’ entire plan was apparently to get Jack to operate on Ben’s tumor. Surely there was a simpler way than kidnapping and imprisoning and torturing people. Like, say, ASKING NICELY?
I am so not interested in the Jack/Kate/Sawyer melodrama. I was actually kind of rooting for the Others to shoot Sawyer, just to put him out of my misery.
I kind of hate the random new people. I mean, it’s reasonable that there would be other castaways we haven’t really gotten to know yet, with 40-some survivors on the island, but I can’t help feeling like, “Who are these interlopers and why should I care about them?”
Juliet, on the other hand, is intriguing. I haven’t decided yet whether we can trust her – she seems too kind and honest to be genuine – but I know from spoilers that she’s a character a lot of people like (and Sawyer/Juliet is a ship, right? Frankly, I am at the point of shipping ANYTHING that would break up the Love Triangle of DOOM). I’m guessing there’s a connection between the Others’ obsession with children and Juliet’s research that results in her sister getting pregnant, and that's probably why she was brought to the island.
Since the hatch imploded, Desmond is having some difficulty with linear time, though I can’t imagine why he’d use that newfound skill to stop Charlie from dying, since Charlie’s been so unbelievably annoying this season. Maybe the universe is trying to do you a favor, did you ever think of that, huh, Desmond? LET THE UNIVERSE HAVE ITS WAY.
