What is this I don't even
All right, I figure just about everyone has seen the news by now (and in case you haven't, read it and weep), but I don't want to grumble alone, so come join me! Who wants to go first?
It is ironic to me that, at this point, I don't think I actually want Joss anywhere near any sort of TV/movie continuation, given what he's chosen to do with the comics. But I still think Buffy with Joss is better than Buffy without Joss. Just... leave it the hell alone, won't you? Let us enjoy what we have without something new coming along to ruin the franchisemore than it already is.
ETA: And we have responses from Joss and David Boreanaz.

(Anonymous) 2010-11-23 01:10 am (UTC)(link)NO, THERE'S NOT. Geez. WHAT IS WITH ALL THE REMAKES? Remakes of old shows, old movies, old ideas. And there's a difference between a show still having a fanbase and wanting to see a DIFFERENT VERSION OF THE CHARACTER OTHER THAN THE ONE WE FELL IN LOVE WITH.

From a strictly commercial standpoint it would seem to be better to make an entirely new movie and perhaps play it up as being "in the tradition" of Buffy or some such thing.
