Himber Entertainment can confirm that James will be appearing at Monster Mania, August 21-23 at Cherry Hill, NJ, subject to work commitments. He will be signing autographs ($40) and posing for photographs ($60) on the Saturday and Sunday only. Sales will be on the day and in cash. Hard to believe it is, considering all the work he's gotten lately, but he does have two kids to put through college. :)

I've never actually been to a con, but I think cash on hand is standard for autos and photos at the smaller cons. They're never included in the price of the admission ticket because JM's a big name.

They aren't included in the price, but usually you can book them and pay in advance. In fact, they prefer it that way so that they have some idea of numbers. I thought it was kind of weird, too, but there was a con that he canceled on (I forget which one) and they had to give us all our picture money back. So, maybe they just want to avoid having to deal with anything like that.

Yeah, I saw that and was like, well.. erm, dang! I'm going to D*C two weeks later, so I'm gonna have to give that one a miss. (Knowing him, he'll prolly have his own "do" at D*C, so I'll need to save my pennies for that.)

I'd like to go to D*C this year (since I'm now a whole two hours closer, lol), but given the brand new financial situation (i.e. poor), I probably shouldn't be planning weekend jaunts.

But if I can stay with my parents...
