* Prompted by the Damon Lindelof article I linked yesterday, this is a look at anger and ugliness in fandom.

* Another intriguing, yet farfetched, theory about the Breaking Bad finale, a less farfetched and more symbolic explanation, and an observation of just how remarkable it is that such a carefully constructed episode could still function as a Rorschach test for its audience in the vein of BSG, Lost, or The Sopranos.

* A hilarious (and yet remarkably accurate) guide to Scandal, which returns tonight.

* Wow, Sleepy Hollow has already gotten a renewal for season 2. I haven't watched it, and didn't really plan to, but then everyone started talking about how completely, unapologetically bananas it is, and I am kind of curious?

* The new 24 mini-season will be set in London. Points for the "Union Jack" pun.

* Uh, so, did Samuel L. Jackson confirm the Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch casting?

* Nathan Fillion will be guest-starring on Community.

Huh, I thought 24 was long over and done with.

I'm watching Sleepy Hollow, and I really don't find it that bananas? I mean, it has the crazy historical inaccuracy and random supernatural happenings of any supernatural show? IDK, I don't get all the "this show is insaaaaaane" that I've been seeing.

LOL 24 was long over and done with, but Fox has decided to resurrect it because why not. There had been talk of a movie, but it never happened, and most new shows suck, so let's go back to making old ones again, I guess.

I still haven't checked out Sleepy Hollow, but I think it was the show's total commitment to the crazy more than the crazy itself that makes people call it bananas? It's like the supernatural version of Scandal - if your show is going to be crazy anyway, go all in and embrace the crazy!

re: Sleepy Hollow, I'd say the pilot was the most ~bananas for reasons of headless horseman. The last couple of eps have been more typical supernatural procedural, which is kind of eh, but I'm hoping the season arc gets into gear soon so I know whether to rec or not.

I quit watching Breaking Bad after the season two finale when it became apparent to me what the direction the show was heading in. I didn't want to go there. It doesn't mean the show wasn't well-written, but it wasn't for me. I quit watching Lost after the third or fourth episode, for the same reason. I don't have opinions about either finale. I read both articles anyway.

Damon Lindelof's article I had no problems understanding. He ended the series the way he wanted to end it, he's at peace. If people don't like it, that's fine but he's done defending it. That makes sense.

I've read the boobtube guy's piece twice and I'm still not sure what point he was trying to make.
