Free comics!

So, Comixology has a ton of free issues for download, and I've been meaning to check out some of the Marvel comics. Assuming the website works long enough for me to use it (they seem to be rather overwhelmed by the traffic), anyone have any recs?

Also, Ramin Karimloo is coming to Alexandria on tour. I think I might want to go... I did just buy tickets for The Last Five Years, though... Why can't I just have ALL THE MONEY? :(

Are there any particular series/characters you're interested in?

It's all #1s, right? If they had them I'd grab any of the following: Matt Fraction's 'Iron Man', Whedon's 'Astonishing X-Men', Brian K. Vaughan's 'Runaways'. anything you can grab with 'Captain America', the current 'Captain Marvel' (and earlier 'Ms. Marvel' if they have that), Dan Slott's 'She-Hulk', Mark Waid's 'Daredevil' and 'Indestructible Hulk,' 'The Order' also by Fraction.

All good starting points!

If you've got any questions about narrowing stuff down, I'll try to help with that :)

Good luck! Hopefully they'll extend the deadline, it seems like a lot of people are having this problem.

Oh, hey, also, Cable & Deadpool. And X-Men First Class if they have it.

If you have an iPad, use their app there instead. Everybody's been having issues with their site today.

I'd recommend you try Captain Marvel, Young Avengers, Rescue, Hawkeye, Sif, Daredevil v.3, Deadpool, Road to Oz, and Ultimate Comics Spider-Man. Plus Saga, which isn't Marvel, but first issue is free :)

Oh, and they're offering several of the Black Widow runs, but unfortunately not Name of the Rose, which is by far her strongest mini-series. If you ever feel like buying something about Nat, that would be the one :) There's also Winter Soldier, tho don't remember if it was on the list or not.

Seconding Whedon's Astonishing X-Men, Brubaker's Captain America and X-Men: First Class. Another Marvel series that I adore, that doesn't get much readability, is X-Factor by Peter David.

(ETA: Do you just feel out your email address at the link?)
