The final fives
Last two top five lists (...for now).
From Anonymous Lurker Chris:
Moments that Made You Want to Throw Your TV Out the Window
An utterly random list, because apparently TV makes me want to defenstrate things A LOT and it's nearly impossible to narrow down to five?
1. Xander's speech and Buffy running after Riley in "Into the Woods" - There are probably quite a few Buffy moments I could've chosen (including my similarly-themed complaint with "As You Were"), but we'll go with this one, and here's why.
2. Bones' 100th episode - AKA the episode that caused my epic break-up with Bones.
3. All of Dexter season 6 - I'm not really sure this needs further explanation. Terrible, terrible season of television, although if I had to pick a particular rage-inducing moment, the idea that Deb is in love with Dexter was probably the worst.
4. Lost season 3 love triangle of DOOM - You could not have constructed a more obnoxious and loathsome love triangle than Jack/Kate/Sawyer if you tried. I hated both options and mostly just wanted it to go away.
5. Klaus compelling Stefan in "The Reckoning" - Again, a lot of TVD moments I could've chosen, lol, but this one inspired a capslocky rant.

Top 5 Fanfics of All Time
This was another really hard list to put together, since I hardly ever read fanfic anymore, and it's been so long since I was paying attention to Buffy fandom in particular that I've forgotten most of what I did read way back in the day.
1. The Barbverse series, by
rahirah - Epic, sprawling post-The Gift AU that anyone in Buffy fandom has probably already read. Buffy and Spike have a passel of children, grow old together, and fight evil. It's all very domestic. Except when it's epic.
2. "My Life Closed Twice," by
anaross - Another BtVS one that sticks out in my memory. Future fic in which Spike teaches poetry and Buffy learns things. About poetry. And Spike.
3. Responsible Science series, by
lettered - The Avengers is pretty much the only fandom I'm still reading, and perhaps it's jumping the gun to call this one of the best "of all time" when I only just read it last week, but it gave me all the Bruce feels.
4. The Last Love Song of Anthony E. Stark, by
jibrailis - Steve/Tony is probably my Avengers OTP (I love everyone with everyone but I love those two the mostest) and memory/identity loss is a theme I love seeing explored.
5. "Snapshots Left on the Negative," by
cypanache - A now-extremely-AU Ben/Leslie fic that takes a much angstier approach to getting them together than the pure unadulterated joy of Parks & Rec canon.
