Haha, the Chelsea story. I cannot believe I never posted about this! Basically, I never light candles because I'm afraid Chelsea will knock them over and start a fire or something. Then one time my mom comes to visit, and she's like, "It's silly to have all these candles and not light them. I light them at home and Patches doesn't bother them. I'm sure it'll be fine."
A few minutes later, cue burning smell and petrified kitty. Apparently, Chelsea is not bright enough not to walk right up to the flame? She didn't actually get burned, just singed her fur on one side and melted some of her whiskers. But it was all very traumatic, and I was all, "I TOLD YOU SO" to my mother, and we never lit candles again. The end.
